Artists Required (Puzzle Book)

Contents May Vary Issue 4 will take the form of a short-run printed puzzle book featuring artwork selected from an international open call: Work based on games and puzzles such as crosswords, word searches, anagrams, spot the difference, dot-to-dot, instructional games, visual games, postal games, trivia / quiz, number puzzles, etc. Curated by Alice Bradshaw.

Open Call for Submissions

What: Work based on games and puzzles such as crosswords, word searches, anagrams, spot the difference, dot-to-dot, instructional games, visual games, postal games, trivia / quiz games, number puzzles, etc.

The final format will be a black and white printed publication comprised of selected games and puzzle based image/text. Artists should send print-ready files for review with the following details:

1. Title

2. Artist

3. Website / email for publicity

File format: jpg or tiff

Colour: black & white / greyscale only.

Size: A5 portrait at 300dpi (1754x2480 pixels / 148.5 x 210mm / 5.85 x 8.27 inches)

Multiples and limited editions: Artist multiples and limited edition submissions are also accepted. If you have an edition of 2D or 3D puzzles/games based work you would like to include as a supplement/insert to a number of publications, such as jigsaws, travel board games or prizes, please email info@contentsmayvary.org (subject: Issue 4 Multiples) detailing proposed works with supporting images and/or web links.

Online edition: Online and internet game based submissions are also being accepted for a special online edition. Please email info@contentsmayvary.org (subject: Issue 4 Online) with images/links to artworks with details including software and hosting requirements.
