Barjis Creativz, a social enterprise created to assist artists in making their products more commercially viable and export ready, has launched a nationwide competition open to all artists in the United Kingdom - new and established.
The competition, which opened for applications on 15th March 2010, is a wonderful opportunity for artists and designers to showcase their work to a panel of expert judges in the hope that their piece will grab their attention and make a statement. The winners in all categories will be given cash sums to utilise as they will as well as a range of other prizes designed to give them a leg up in the world of art, fashion, interiors and media.
The competition is open to everyone in the United kingdom who is over the age of 18. Entrants can be students; new Designers (trading under two years); or Undiscovered Talent (someone with no formal training or background in art or design).
The categories for the competition will be divided as follows:
Fashion
Interiors
Product
Media
The brief for the competition calls for a design that balances aesthetics with functionality. Factors which will be judged include: quality, price, aesthetics, functionality, and commercial viability. For more information visit http://barjiscreativz.com/competition/
